St Peter’s - Notting Hill

Open Prayerful Relevant

CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE and Under 3s
St Peter’s is a place where children forge life-long friendships, have fun and grow in faith. We are constantly adjusting our children’s programmes to reflect their changing interests and age ranges.

YoYo Group
Angie, our youth worker, is setting up a lounging area for young people. Please let her know if you have any spare 'teenage' style furniture e.g. bean-bags, comfy lounging chairs, low tables etc. Also needed is a white-board (or black-board) and a dvd player. Email Angie or speak to her at the church.

Activities at St Peter's Church

Under 3’s at St Peter’s Church
We have a popular Under 3’s drop-in, Tuesday-Friday from 9.45 to 11.45am throughout the year - except during August when the group does not meet on Fridays. There are plenty of toys, musical sing-along, space to run about no matter what the weather and a space to park your buggy. There are hot & cold drinks and the opportunity to chat and share with other parents and carers. There is a charge of £2 per child per session including refreshments - please email Penny Elderby for more information.

“A fantastic opportunity for mums and carers to make new friends and for their little ones to play in a safe and caring environment.” Dominique, mother of two.

Bumps & Babies
Every Thursday afternoon from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
At St Peter’s Church, Kensington Park Road, London W11 2 PN (opposite Stanley Gardens).

Bumps and babies is for anyone expecting a baby, new parents, or parents with a new baby and older children.  Everyone with a pre-school age child is welcome although we have found that the majority of those who attend have babies under 12 months. We have toys for babies and of course tea, coffee and juice with plenty of time to chat. For more information please email Alex Tatton-Brown using this link

St Peter’s Nursery School at 59a Portobello Road
In 1991 the Nursery began with 4 children coming together at the back of the church. Today the nursery is a well known local resource with a great reputation. Its aim is to be totally inclusive by offering a loving, Christian, nursery education that’s affordable to all (with concessions on fees where applicable). The Nursery can cater for up to 46 children who come to us from families of many faiths and none. It has close links with the church, including nativity plays and regular pastoral support.

Please click on the Nursery tab at the top of the page to be taken to the Nursery section for more information or email from here.

The Sunday School at St Peter’s Church
Our children usually go out of the service to special classes for each age group and there is a permanent crèche for the very young. We organise an annual camping trip, a discussion group for over 15s, and have had fashion shows, fundraisers and many more events and activities all organised by our young people. Email Jean Ross Russell for more information about our different Sunday School groups.

Study Support Group
On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons an after school homework club supports a number of pupils from Colville Primary School. The latest termly report can be read here.
