A delightful programme for a summer evening. Dvořák's Czech Suite combines lyrical, flowing melodies with lively dance tunes. Jan Václav Voříšek's symphony in D, written in 1821, is a lively energetic piece in which the influence of both Beethoven and Schubert can be clearly heard. TUESDAY EVENING GOSPEL CHOIR
Open to all ages and abilities, the gospel choir is a lively and friendly group of about 20-30 singers. The music is easy to pick up, all taught by ear and very rewarding to sing. Anyone is welcome to join in, no experience necessary. Email our Musical Director Peter Yarde-Martin if you would like more information.
Big Picture 2.0:
The Big Picture is returning in 2017, with the first session starting on Wednesday 11th January. After a successful course in the Autumn, the Big Picture returns, this time the course focus will be The Cross.
The course takes place on Wednesdays, meeting at 7pm for a bite to eat and the discussion starting at 7.30pm.
