St Peter’s - Notting Hill

Open Prayerful Relevant

PRAYER and FELLOWSHIP

small chapel

Prayer and fellowship are at the heart of St Peter's. They provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with God, listen to his guidance and experience His love. Many people tell us they have felt guided by Him, found renewed hope and peace, and experienced both physical and spiritual healing. This encourages us to continue making prayer central to all that we do and providing opportunities for people to meet and pray together.

"St Peter's has helped to make sense of my world - Christianity made relevant for today." Nicky, local resident.

Small Groups
We have a wide variety of small groups that meet during the day or on different evenings at people’s homes. We try to have something for everyone so that people feel comfortable and are provided with the opportunity to grow friendships as well as faith. The small groups are a place where people pray for each other - and those in thier lives, share food together and learn. Many people tell us their group, and the support they get from it, is as important as church on Sunday.

For more information about the small groups please go to the 'House Groups & Small Groups' link opposite.

Prayer & Healing Ministry
We encourage everyone to pray with each other. We also have a Prayer Ministry team of people happy to pray with you confidentially after the Sunday services.

Prayer ministry is about praying with a person; often it is as if the person who is
receiving ministry is in the very presence of Jesus.

Sunday services: ministers can pray with you about any needs.

St Peter's healing ministry: if you have a healing issue – physical, emotional, or spiritual – book an appointment with the parish office on 020 7792 8227 and two trained ministers will pray with you privately. Mondays 3–5pm (or ask for other possible options)

Intercession is about praying for a person's needs or an issue, whether the person is there or not. It's common for most intercessory prayers to end with 'Amen'.

Intercessory group: (every other Tuesday 8–9pm in church). Anyone can join this group, which prays for individual requests, church issues, and national and world crises.

Prayer chain: if you have an urgent prayer request email the parish office or telephone on 020 7792 8227. Someone will take your message and a team of people will pray about it.

Prayer request box/noticeboard (in the foyer/baptistery): A team will pray about your request one day a week for four weeks.
