Giving to St Peter’s Church
St Peter’s church is funded through the kind donations of the St Peter’s church community and we encourage people to give in a regular planned way. It is a good principle rather than an ‘ad hoc’ approach, and also helps our treasurer to plan - just as we all do with our own personal budgets.
Below are some suggested ‘how to’ methods. If you are a UK tax payer we would also encourage you to complete a gift aid form that will enable us to reclaim the tax on all your identifiable giving. Forms are available in church, from the parish office (59a Portobello Road, London W11 3DD) or can be downloaded here.
If you have a regular income you may find it easiest to give by standing order and have your contribution paid directly into the church account. If you would like to set up a standing order please complete the attached form or contact Anita at the Parish office on 020 7792 8227 or email using this link.
Some employers have a payroll system where they will take your contribution out of your pay before you receive it and pay it into a charity account (the church meets that criteria – our charity number is 1133807).
Envelopes are available to put your giving in the collection box. If you wish to maintain your anonymity they can be numbered for ease of administration. Sets of envelopes can be requested by contacting the Parish Office.
If you have a variable income you may wish to give your basic amount regularly and then top up to your decided level of giving at regular intervals or when your income arrives. There will be Gift Aid envelopes available for this that you will need to sign each time. Cheques should be made payable to ‘St Peter’s Church’.
Thank you for your support.
